Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Mountain Crest's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Mountain Crest barely beat Box Elder the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs never let the Bees get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 back in March.

The result came thanks to Ben Welch's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Kayden Cullimore was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Ryder Bradford was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Mountain Crest is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Box Elder, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Mountain Crest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Box Elder, they will challenge Clearfield at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
