Softball Recap: Taylor County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rickards on Wednesday, Taylor County came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Chiles Timberwolves on Thursday, falling 14-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Timberwolves: they've now lost three in a row.

Taylor County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillee Mccall, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. Rylan Compton was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

Taylor County's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Chiles, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Taylor County will face off against Trenton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Chiles, they will square off against North Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Timberwolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
