Baseball Recap: Dunwoody Wins Going Away Against Shiloh

Dunwoody got themselves on the board against Shiloh on Monday, but Shiloh never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Shiloh Generals with a sharp 10-0 win. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Dunwoody got a great performance from Ryan Davies as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Davies a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alec Koehly, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he's hit this season. Another player making a difference was Matthew Pearch, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Dunwoody always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Dunwoody's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Shiloh, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Dunwoody will have a chance to go back-to-back against Shiloh: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
