Baseball Recap: Lincoln County Takes a Loss

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milford Tigers. If the Lynx were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Milford, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Awaken Christian at 1:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Milford, they will take on Parowan at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.08 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
