Basketball Game Preview: Iowa Colony Pioneers vs. Santa Fe Indians

The Iowa Colony Pioneers will venture away from home to face off against the Santa Fe Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Iowa Colony has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three games.

Iowa Colony easily dispatched Texas City on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Iowa Colony fell just short of Ball by a score of 58-56 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pioneers have suffered since December 8, 2023.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe came up short against Angleton on Friday and fell 82-71. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Iowa Colony's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-10. As for Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-16.

Iowa Colony beat Santa Fe 62-50 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Iowa Colony since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
