Recap: Fox Lane Foxes vs. John Jay Wolves
The Fox Lane Foxes lost to the John Jay Wolves back in September of 2018, but The Fox Lane Foxes didn't allow the John Jay Wolves the same satisfaction on Saturday. Fox Lane had just enough and edged John Jay out 24-21. That's two games straight that Fox Lane has won by exactly three points.
Declan Connors was a one-man wrecking crew for Fox Lane as he rushed for 231 yards and two touchdowns. Connors really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run. Theo Friedman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Fox Lane is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for John Jay, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fox Lane will take on Eastchester at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eastchester presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fox Lane in New York (Eastchester is ranked 50th, while Fox Lane is ranked 125th). As for John Jay, they will head out on the road to face off against Clarkstown North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
