Anyer Alvarez gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Monday. Nobody could stop him as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Alvarez's strong effort led Red Bank over East Ridge and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers are limping into the matchup having lost five straight on the road dating back to last season.
