Football Recap: Dreher Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Dreher unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 30-22 to the Keenan Raiders on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Dreher lost, don't look at Brandon Mack. Despite the final result, he rushed for 118 yards and three TDs.

Hunter O'Neal was nothing short of spectacular for Keenan: he rushed for 183 yards and a pair of scores. Jordan Wilson also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Dreher will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Keenan, they will head out on the road to square off against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
