Softball Recap: Splendora Wildcats vs. Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns
Splendora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns by a score of 8-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Splendora of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
Avery Keel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Catalina Aleman, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI.
Splendora's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Hamshire-Fannett, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Livingston the next time they take the field. Splendora will head out to face Livingston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hamshire-Fannett will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on April 16th.
