Basketball Recap: Senatobia Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Senatobia can now relate to. They took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Pontotoc Cougars on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Senatobia's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for South Pontotoc, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Senatobia will square off against Caledonia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Pontotoc, they will be playing at home against Kosciusko at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. South Pontotoc is facing Kosciusko at the right time seeing as Kosciusko is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
