Volleyball Recap: Shining Rock Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Shining Rock Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Asheville School (Independent) Blues.

While Shining Rock Classical Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Asheville School (Independent) work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-8, 25-12.

Asheville School (Independent) was led to victory by Nesya Klausner and Flannery Plaehn. Klausner had 13 digs, while Plaehn had 25 digs and one assist. Those 25 digs gave Plaehn a new career-high.

Shining Rock Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Asheville School (Independent), they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
