Basketball Recap: Notus Comes Up Short

Notus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Liberty Charter Patriots 55-9. The match marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Libni Vargas was Notus' leading scorer, having posted four points. Baylee Clelland held things down on the boards with three rebounds. Victoria Zamora took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Notus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Liberty Charter, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Notus is taking a road trip to challenge Wilder at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilder will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Notus surely won't give up without a fight. As for Liberty Charter, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Crane at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
