Recap: Combs Coyotes vs. American Leadership Academy Patriots
The Combs Coyotes were the 78-72 winner over the American Leadership Academy Patriots when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Combs took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of American Leadership Academy on Thursday.
Combs' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Tuckfield, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Jaimin Amador, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Combs' defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for American Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Combs will head out on the road to square off against Poston Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poston Butte is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for American Leadership Academy, they will be playing at home against Arizona College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Arizona College Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
