Volleyball Recap: Monterey Bay Academy Falls to Oakwood in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Monterey Bay Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Oakwood Hawks by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Monterey Bay Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 22-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-11.

Oakwood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monterey Bay Academy will welcome Chartwell at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oakwood, they will be playing at home against Ceiba College Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
