Aquinas is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since September 16th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sparta, sneaking past 3-2.
Aquinas wouldn't go down easily and took Sparta into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 22-25, 21-25, 25-20, 16-14.

Aquinas can attribute much of their success to Adelaide Bezemek, who had 15 digs and one block, and Aubrey Coyne, who had 33 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Bezemek has posted over her last seven matchups. Norah Poellinger was another key player, getting ten digs.
Sparta typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday La Crosse Central proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Riverhawks.
