Basketball Recap: Meadowdale Comes Up Short

If Meadowdale was riding high fresh off their 61-41 takedown of Twin Valley South last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Meadowdale Lions fell 38-31 to the Preble Shawnee Arrows on Saturday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Arrows apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Meadowdale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Preble Shawnee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Meadowdale will head out to challenge Trotwood-Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Trotwood-Madison's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Preble Shawnee, they will host Tri-County North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Preble Shawnee is facing Tri-County North at the right time seeing as Tri-County North is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
