Volleyball Recap: Livonia Comes Up Short

Livonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Hornell Red Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-16.

Mia Nasca was a one-woman wrecking crew For Hornell. as she had 21 digs and one assist. Nasca has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Livonia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Hornell, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Livonia is set to face off against their familiar foe Dansville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hornell will take on rival Wayland-Cohocton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
