Orcas Island is 9-1 against Friday Harbor since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will square off against the Wolverines at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Orcas Island earned a 3-1 victory over Grace Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Orcas Island walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-14, 18-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Friday Harbor hadn't done well against Coupeville recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wolverines came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 3-1.

The victory got Friday Harbor back to even at 4-4. As for Orcas Island, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Orcas Island beat Friday Harbor 3-1 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
