Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Comes Up Short

Plainfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Downers Grove South Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13.

Milo Nelson paced Plainfield Central's offense, picking up five kills. Nelson got some help from Chris McCauley and his nine assists. Nelson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Plainfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Downers Grove South, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Plainfield Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Glenbard East on the 26th. As for Downers Grove South, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Lincoln-Way West on the 26th.
