Baseball Recap: East Troy Takes a Loss

East Troy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Delavan-Darien Comets, falling 9-2. The Trojans have struggled against the Comets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

East Troy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Pettijohn, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Pettijohn's first of the season.

East Troy's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Delavan-Darien, their record now sits at 8-6-1.

While East Troy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
