Football Recap: Priest River Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Salmon last Saturday, Priest River came back down to earth. The Spartans fell 26-14 to the Bonners Ferry Badgers on Friday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Badgers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lucas Mathews threw for 72 yards and one touchdown. Layton Goins was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards. On the ground, Colton Kuprienko rushed for 131 yards and one score.

Priest River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bonners Ferry, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Priest River will be playing at home against Grangeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Bonners Ferry, they will head out to square off against St. Maries at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
