Basketball Recap: Ravenswood Red Devils vs. St. Marys Blue Devils
Ravenswood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 70-25 defeat at the hands of the St. Marys Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Red Devils lost against the Blue Devils in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 68-58 score last time.
St. Marys got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addie Davis out in front who went 7 for 15 en route to 20 points plus five assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Laney Watkins, who went 7 for 9 en route to 15 points plus three steals.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ravenswood will head out to take on Wirt County at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Marys, they will venture away from home to challenge Moorefield at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
