Basketball Recap: Clyde Takes a Loss

Clyde was the 53-48 winner over Willard when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Clyde Fliers were outmatched by the Willard Crimson Flashes and fell 66-36. While losing is never fun, the Fliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Crimson Flashes are ranked 42nd).

Clyde's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Willard, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Perkins the next time they take the court. Willard will head out to face Perkins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Clyde will head out to face them at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
