Softball Recap: Howell Highlanders vs. Brighton Bulldogs        
        
		
            
 Howell won against Brighton  on Wednesday with 14  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Wednesday. The Howell Highlanders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  14-12  victory over the Brighton Bulldogs. Winning may never get old, but Howell sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
  Ava Bunting was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing three bases while going 4-for-5. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Jada Challiss was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Howell pushed their record up to 13-13-1 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Brighton, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howell will take on Traverse City Central at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The last four games Howell has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Brighton, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Northwest at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
