Soccer Game Preview: Highland vs. Dover

The Highland Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the Dover Dragons at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Highland fell victim to Spackenkill and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Highland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Spackenkill are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Dover also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 2-0 to Onteora on Friday.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Everything went Highland's way against Dover in their previous matchup on September 8th, as Highland made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
