East Union entered their tilt with Water Valley on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Blue Devils 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: East Union took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.

Leading East Union to victory were Lilly Bruce and Reagan Johnson. Bruce had four digs and three aces, while Johnson had five digs and three aces. That's the most aces Johnson has posted since back in August. Emma Crowe also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: East Union was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

East Union's victory bumped their record up to 29-4. As for Water Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

East Union will host Pine Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Water Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Hatley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
