Allie Blum leads New Palestine to victory over Waldron

The New Palestine Dragons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Waldron with a sharp 61-36 victory. The victory was familiar territory for New Palestine who now have three in a row.

Allie Blum was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Vivian Miller was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Despite the loss, Waldron had strong showings from Alivia Fischer, who scored 11 points along with two blocks, and Grace Fischer, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Fischer is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played.

New Palestine's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. As for Waldron, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

New Palestine's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Greensburg at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. One thing working in Greensburg's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. Waldron's road trip will continue as they head out to face Edinburgh at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Edinburgh is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
