Basketball Recap: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Sky View Bobcats

The Mountain Crest Mustangs have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Sky View by a score of 51-49. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mountain Crest has scored all season.

Mountain Crest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Hess, who scored 14 points. Josh Arnell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.

Sky View found their leader in underclassman Macade Rolle, who scored 20 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Oxborrow, who scored 11 points along with three steals.

Mountain Crest's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Sky View, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Crest will take on the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sky View, they will be playing at home against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bear River is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
