McClintock entered their tilt with Ironwood on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 66-12 win over the Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Leading McClintock to victory were Fredrick 'CP' Parsons and Aidan Whitaker. Parsons rushed for 157 yards and three TDs on only nine carries, while Whitaker gained 327 total yards and a touchdown. Parsons is becoming a predictor of the Chargers' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). McClintock also got help from Hayden Bajet, who showed off his sure hands for 129 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: McClintock was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 290 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.
McClintock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jeremiah Paet and Preston Molina. The victory got McClintock back to even at 4-4. As for Ironwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
