Basketball Game Preview: Fairfield Indians vs. Middletown Middies

The Fairfield Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Middletown Middies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield will be strutting in after a win while Middletown will be coming in after a loss.

Fairfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 72-42 victory over Colerain. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Indians have posted since December 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, Middletown unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 85-75 to Princeton.

Middletown's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5. As for Fairfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Fairfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Middletown when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 58-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
