Soccer Game Preview: Rockwall vs. Longview

Rockwall hasn't had much luck against Longview recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rockwall Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Longview Lobos at 7:15 p.m. Rockwall is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Rockwall took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Horn onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellowjackets considering their one-goal performance the match before.

They hit Horn with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dayne Decker (2), Brady Valladarez (2), and Triston Gooch.

Meanwhile, Longview entered their contest against Mesquite on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Longview fell just short of Mesquite by a score of 1-0.

Longview's loss dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Rockwall, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
