Volleyball Recap: Shiocton Takes a Loss

Shiocton and Wabeno/Laona squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Shiocton had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Rebels. The defeat continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost three in a row.

Natalie Young paced Shiocton's offense, picking up 12 kills. Young got some help from Brooke Beschta and her 20 assists. Aliyah Reese controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Wabeno/Laona to victory were Reese Connor and Aubrey Tinsman. Connor had 19 assists and ten digs, while Tinsman had 23 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Connor has posted since October 2nd.

Shiocton's loss dropped their record down to 25-12. As for Wabeno/Laona, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 30-10.

Shiocton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wabeno/Laona, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Montello on the 1st.
