Volleyball Recap: Crete-Monee Comes Up Short

Crete-Monee lost to Joliet Central on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steelmen.

Crete-Monee was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22.

Crete-Monee dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Joliet Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Crete-Monee will challenge Thornridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Joliet Central, they will face off against Oswego East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
