Basketball Recap: Josie Barrett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Burns over Big Horn

Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 58-45 to the Big Horn Rams. The Broncs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Broncs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josie Barrett, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Bolejack, who posted eight points.

Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Big Horn, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Burns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-30 loss against Sundance on the 11th. As for Big Horn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 43-35 victory against Shoshoni on the 11th.
