Basketball Recap: Nutley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kearny on Tuesday, Nutley came back down to earth. The Maroon Raiders took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dumont Huskies on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Maroon Raiders in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost three in a row.

Nutley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Dumont, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Nutley will head out to face off against Weequahic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Maroon Raiders will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dumont, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fort Lee at 7:00 p.m. The Huskies will be up against the Bridgemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
