Volleyball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

Southside was the 2-0 winner over Boerne when they last played one another back in August of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds on Saturday.

Katie Camarillo paced Southside's offense, picking up two kills. Camarillo got some help from Gabriella Gallindo and her four assists. Finally, Camarillo was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Boerne, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Southside has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Harlandale on the 23rd. As for Boerne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against McCollum on the 23rd.
