Basketball Game Preview: Moody Blue Devils vs. Ramsay Rams

The Moody Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Ramsay Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, Moody greeted the New Year with with a 67-50 victory over Jefferson Christian Academy. That looming 67-50 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Devils yet this season.

Meanwhile, Ramsay had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They strolled past the Thundering Herd with points to spare, taking the game 66-51.

Ramsay's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for Moody, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Moody took a serious blow against Ramsay in their previous meeting back in February of 2021, falling 80-45. Can Moody avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
