Basketball Recap: High Plains Storm vs. Meridian Mustangs
High Plains proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 51) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 victory over the Meridian Mustangs. For the Storm, this counts as revenge for the 64-44 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead High Plains to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Hofmann, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Hofmann has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Courtney Carlstrom was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven boards.
