Baseball Game Preview: Macon Tigers vs. Clark County Indians

Macon is 8-2 against Clark County since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Tigers will welcome the Indians at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Macon's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Clark County has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Macon got the win against Westran by a conclusive 8-1.

Hagan Ritter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Trey Hatcher was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennon Isaacson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Clark County lost 10-4 to Centralia on Monday.

Macon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Clark County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
