Recap: Kossuth Aggies vs. Corinth Warriors
The Kossuth Aggies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 64-43 loss at the hands of Corinth. Kossuth has not had much luck with Corinth recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Corinth's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Crump, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Braedyn Burress was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Kossuth's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-8. As for Corinth, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kossuth will take on Alcorn Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Corinth won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Biggersville at 6:30 p.m. on January 6th. One thing working in Biggersville's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
