After a string of 14 wins, Waterloo's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 42-26 fall against the Highland Bulldogs. The match marked Waterloo's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Waterloo still got an impressive performance from Alex Stell, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards. That was a full 53.8% of Waterloo's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Waterloo's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 14-3. As for Highland, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-9.
