Softball Recap: South Johnston Trojans vs. West Carteret Patriots

South Johnston had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the West Carteret Patriots on Friday. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Trojans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The result came thanks to Ava Strickland's shutout, as she gave up just seven hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Lannah Price was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
