Soccer Game Preview: Martin vs. Richardson

The Martin Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Richardson Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Martin is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Arlington just ended the team's six-game winning streak last Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Warriors happy, as they haven't lost a game since February 14th.

Their goal came courtesy of Rykyr Rives, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Richardson sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over White on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one goal.

Richardson has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-1 record this season. Martin's draw makes their record 10-5-3 this season.

Martin was able to grind out a solid win over Richardson when the teams last played back in March of 2022, winning 2-0. Does Martin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Richardson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
