Basketball Recap: Vinton Comes Up Short

Vinton lost against Westlake back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vinton Lions took a blow against the Westlake Rams, falling 53-11. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Rams are ranked 63rd).

Vinton has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Westlake, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Vinton will take on East Beauregard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westlake, they will venture away from home to challenge Lake Charles College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
