Softball Recap: Randle Sets Scoring Season-High Against Fort Bend Marshall

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Randle). They were the clear victor by an 18-0 margin over the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Peyton Perry, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Scarlett Cuevas, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Randle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Randle's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Fort Bend Marshall, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Randle will welcome Lamar Consolidated at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Bend Marshall, they will venture away from home to square off against Victoria East at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
