Soccer Game Preview: Madison vs. Pinkston

Madison is 1-9 against Pinkston since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Madison Trojans will face off against the Pinkston Vikings at 8:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Madison is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Pinkston was not quite Kimball's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Pinkston's goal came courtesy of Alvin Salazar, who's now up to six this season.

Pinkston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Madison suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Pinkston in their previous meeting back in January. Can Madison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
