The Valley Center Jaguars will face off against the Westview Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Valley Center is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-1 margin over Bonsall on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Nevaeh Colon made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Su'La Devers was a standout: she got on base in two of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Juliana Leichtfuss, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Valley Center kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Westview waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Cougars get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. Considering the Wolverines have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Westview got a massive performance out of Taylor Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Kiana Rodriguez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles.
Valley Center's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-17. As for Westview, their win bumped their record up to 15-8-1.
