Basketball Recap: Eunice Takes a Loss

Eunice was the 47-36 winner over Elton when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Eunice Bobcats were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 51-50 to the Elton Indians. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bobcats came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Indians are ranked 309th).

Eunice's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Elton, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-18-1 record this season.

Eunice won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cecilia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
