Zach Scribner gave up the fewest hits he has since back in March of 2025 on Monday. He pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of Yucaipa's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't).

Scribner's strong effort led Yucaipa over Beaumont and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds are 8-1 against the Cougars going back to April of 2023, a lead they'll look to extend.
