Soccer Game Preview: Varela vs. Ferguson

The Varela Vipers are taking a road trip to challenge the Ferguson Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Varela managed to slip by Mater Academy Charter the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vipers might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Lions an easy 3-0 win. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Varela it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Ferguson kept a clean sheet against Braddock on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The win continues a trend for Ferguson in their matchups with Braddock: they've now won three in a row.

Varela's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-2. As for Ferguson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
